BeautyCounter Product Review – Daily Shampoo and Conditioner

Sneak peek……

The shelf in my shower

Everything has been replaced by 4 products.  Four products that defy the norm.  Defy the constraints of the typical

We used to have a Costco size bottle of Shampoo and conditioner, another huge bottle of body wash, face wash, etc.  The only problem……I thought that I was doing right by my hair.  I thought that it didn’t matter.  I knew that all hair care products were not created equally….but I honestly did not really think that it mattered.

It does matter!

It really does.

My husband has skin issues that he has had since he was a kid.  I started developing issues as well and I was desperately trying to protect our daughter from ever having any skin issues.

So I started reading.

I started learning about what ingredients I wanted to avoid

And I started to formulate a plan.  I turned to BeautyCounter’s NeverList

I was already planning on starting my BeautyCounter venture.  I was willing to try the shampoo and conditioner to see if it really worked.  And by worked, I mean, I wanted to see if my hair actually felt clean, if it felt oily  and the big one for me ……if the conditioner actually left my hair detangled and feeling soft.  So many “natural” conditioners just make my hair feel kind of crunchy and very hard to brush through.

But OMG!  Let me fill you in on the awesomeness that is the Shampoo and Conditioner from BeautyCounter!

So the first thing that you might notice is the price.  The Shampoo may seem expensive at $22 for 10 oz and when I first was going to get it.  But I will say this…

I have now had this bottle of Shampoo for 3 months and while I do not wash my hair every single day, it has lasted me for a very long time in comparison.  I have long hair (below the bottom of my shoulder blades) and I only use a nickels worth and get an amazing lather.  So many amazing bubbles that if I bring my daughter in the shower with me to save on time and water, she loves to pop on the shower floor.

“This purifying daily shampoo gently breaks down buildup but never strips or dries out hair. Made with pure plant botanicals, the formula infuses strands with moisture, shine, and a light citrus scent.”

Ok

So let’s move on to the daily conditioner!

Now, I am very picky about my conditioner!  I do not like conditioners that leave my hair stringy or weighted down.  I LOVE that I can use this conditioner (about the size of a quarter!  Seriously!) and after towel drying  with my Turbie Twist (affiliate link) I am able to brush through my hair with no issues no matter how messed up my hair was before.

Ultra-rich and moisturizing, our conditioner contains marula and mongongo oils to help nourish hair, along with rooibos leaf extract to smooth strands and add shine. Apply conditioner to the ends of your hair where moisture is most needed.

BeautyCounter on the Ingredients in the Daily Conditioner

I know that a lot of people (including myself) have learned that if your hair is oily that you shouldn’t wash your hair every day. Typically, Shampoo works by stripping your hair and drying your hair and your scalp.  This can cause huge issues and the excessive oiliness is related to the over drying of your scalp.  I had this discussion/argument with my mother just last week.

The flip side to this is Beautycounter!  Strong enough to clean and gentle enough that it doesn’t strip your hair and dry out your scalp.  The more that you strip and dry out your hair and scalp the more damage you create without drying and styling.

I promise you that you will love this Shampoo and Conditioner!  I have sold so many of these and the feedback that I keep getting is that they love how soft and manageable their hair is and that they LOVE the soft citrus scent.

I know that you will LOVE the shampoo and conditioner.  If you have any questions, as always…let me know.
